SYNOPSIS:
"Vagina Monologues meets SNL," PERIOD. is a new original play by Mary Darling that is a comedic take on society's expectations of female presenting individuals, told through the lens of a stand-up comic.
CAST SIZE: 5-7
CHARACTERS:
(Open to all ethnicities, genders, orientations, sizes, ages (18+), abilities, and experience levels)
MARE
Female presenting, Stand-up Comedian who is also part of the ensemble when applicable.
ENSEMBLE
3-5 women, trans, Non-Binary, presenting actors who play various roles throughout.
AUDIENCE MEMBER/ENSEMBLE
Male Presenting, loud, obnoxious. Think he’s his own comedian.
